Organisations will implement actions in ways that suit their own context. Example activities provide guidance.
5.1 Organisations apply an intersectional lens to policies and processes in line with leading practice, to deliver for all Victorians.
Example activities
- Organisations use feedback and customer experience surveys to improve the inclusivity of policy, programs and service delivery.
- Organisations centre the voices of diverse employees, including staff-led networks, in workplace design, policies and ways of working.
- Organisations regularly review and update policies, practices and procedures to reflect inclusive practice.
- Organisations build capability to apply an intersectional lens.
Example activities
- Organisations promote and share positive practice, tools and resources, such as inclusive language guides and accessible communications guides.
- Organisations apply a diversity, equity and inclusion lens to contract management, procurement and service provision policies and processes.
5.3 Executives and managers provide opportunities for all employees to build their inclusion capability.
Example activities
- Organisations promote learning opportunities and resources to improve employee diversity, equity and inclusion capability.
They also track participation.
- Executives and managers build diverse teams and use diverse lived experience expertise, where appropriate, to improve inclusive service delivery.
